I’m only doing this because I have followers who may possibly get an update on their main page, but, I have a new blog which I actually care about and will be updating several times a day as a means of procrastination. It’s called You Will Miss Everything Cool and it’s about stand-up comedy. So, if you like that subject, read it. This shit’s now defunct. Probably. I was a very negligent parent. I’d heard another album of theirs, Talking Through Tin Cans, and that’s charming enough raucous three chord pop. This new one, though, Big Echo, takes their sound into the realm of beautiful, ornately produced, I don’t know, do you call it, baroque pop. It’s good stuff. Check it out.

The Walkmen, “Canadian Girl”
This is a modern day soul song, and I don’t mean strictly by genre. These motherfuckers got soul.
